• Selected Poems for schools is a four-book course which has been designed for preparatory and secondary students.
• An extensive introduction of literary elements introduce students to the core components of poetry such as figurative language, simile, metaphor, personification and the different form of poetry.
• Students are also introduced to the different eras of poetry and are taught how to actively read a poem using their critical thinking skills-asking questions, drawing conclusive and reaching decisions through persuasive argument, demonstrating credibility for their argument through the use of quotations and enhancing their interaction with poetry and their overall experience.
